After Midnight Shows Stars On Labor Day

Featured almost a year ago on Ruffled, we couldn't help but go back in time and repost it for Labor Day. The stars and stripes give us an honest american vibe and we honor that. Thank you to Austin based photographer Love, The Nelsons, the fabulous bouquets and styling by Sweet Sunday Events who knocked our socks off, and the incredible drinks by catering gurus, Pink Avocado Catering. A superb assortment of talents coming all together for an inspiration shoot/wedding that is perfect for any time of year, including that gold threaded gown we can't keep our eyes off of.

Bleeker Shines Through Blues & Greens

In honor of receiving pictures yesterday from our first beautiful Bleeker bride, and our trunk show this weekend at The Dress Theory in Seattle, we've chosen Bleeker to be our dress of the week's style post. Bleeker is our classic flowing skirt and lace sleeved bodice with a low back and is just pretty much to die for. With Seattle's rains and north pacific ocean nearby, we love the idea of mixing blues and greens in muted and sometimes aqua hues to contrast with the beauty of this white gown.

Seattle Coffee Shops To Try Before/After Your Sarah Seven Trunk Show Appointment

Did you know that Seattle is the world center for coffee roasting? Did you also know that there are 424 Starbucks in Seattle alone? Well, in case you aren't that crazy about Starbucks, we have found some other amazing and cozy little coffee shops to visit either before or after your Sarah Seven trunk show appointment at The Dress Theory this weekend, August 29-31, in Seattle, WA.
We hope that one of these will suit your fancy while you're here and perhaps you'll even be having a celebratory cup of coffee!

1. Wheelhouse Coffee - Apparently they have a pretty kick-ass cappuccino, but it's their high ceilings and friendly waiters that really make this place shine.

2. Oddfellows Cafe & Bar - If you'd also like to grab a bite to eat or perhaps a cocktail to go with the purchasing of a wedding gown, Oddfellows has got you covered. The industrial rustic feel will have you transported in time and is in the heart of the Capitol Hill neighborhood.

3. The First Starbucks - Located right at the Pike Place Street Market, this is the original Starbucks which opened in 1971. What we really love about this is the elements of design. Quite a bit of the decor and furnishings, are recycled and reused. For instance, the board above the bar was a recycled slate from a neighboring high school.

4. Blackbird Bakery - Recently included in the Wall Street Journal's Day Two of a "Perfectly Packed Seattle Weekend," this cute little shop is located just a ferry ride away from Seattle, on Bainbridge Island. Wouldn't that be nice to ride the ferry over, relax with a hot danish and a nice cup of coffee?

5. The Fat Hen - Talk about a cute shop, this little treasure is located in the Ballard neighborhood of Seattle and not only do they serve handcrafted coffee drinks but mimosas as well. ;)

6. Sitka & Spruce - To have more of a dining experience than just a cafe, try this industrial space. Cement floors and high windows are nothing compared to the food. We've heard the dutch baby pancake with gooseberry jam is to die for.
